Choices

Life's culmination is made of choices. Some easy, some difficult, some clear, some hidden, but always choices. At a young age, you may decide not to pickup your room and later in life find yourself knee deep in dirty clothes. Later, you may choose to have one more piece of cake and shortly then, be overcome, driven, to find bigger pants. At a ripe old age, you may find yourself denied the spice of life, living on those choices not taken because of fear or anxiety. But always, you must make choices.

The wise would be those that learn from their choices. The ill-advised are those, knowing the outcome, make poor choices. The steadfast are those making choices regardless of the outcome. And, finally, the timid are those not making choices because of their fear.

The true secret of choices, is knowing they are limited by one's life span. As with each choice, life draws nearer to its end. The choice may glorify, prolong or libel, hasten life's end but it is always one less choice you need make. For being made, it can never be taken back. It may be modified by another choice but it will always have been made. Choices made, are choices taken.

Think quietly, think of the past, future, present and make your choices.
